At the age of 15 I had a vision and dream to be a missionary pilot reaching into remote villages that were never before accessed by an outsider to bring the Good News. But, I was not positive “missionary pilot” was God’s leading hand and so I struggled for several years not knowing positively if this vision was from God. One of the biggest obstacles was that I had by no means the financial resources to even begin training for my pilot’s license. Finally in August of 2014, at the age of 19, and after seeking much advice, I prayed a prayer that changed my life. I fully committed my life to God for a life of service and told God that I’m going to step out and make the first step of becoming a missionary pilot. I earnestly asked God to slam doors in my face if this was not His will for my life. Within several weeks after this prayer, God removed the financial obstacle and I started flight training! God was swinging doors wide open and creating a path for me to walk on! God was answering prayers in ways I had never dreamed possible! What a blessing!

Where

Papua New Guinea!

I have had a passion to help in the Bible translation process for the people of Papua New Guinea. The helicopter and airplane tremendously speeds up this process. This translation process can take up to 30 years. This is a big commitment for the missionaries translating the Bible! Imagine not having access to the grocery or hardware store, a hospital within minuets, etc., for such a long time. The aircraft can shorten a one week hiking trip over treacherous terrain to less than a half an hour flight. This is literally redeeming the time (Eph. 5:16). Aviation in Papua New Guinea is completely viewed differently than how we westerners view aviation. Here in the states we view an aircraft as a luxury, but in places like Papua New Guinea, it is a Lifeline.
