Expanding the Reach of the Gospel

He is Faithful

Dear friends,

We wanted to give you an update on the journey we are on with serving with Wycliffe & JAARS in Papua New Guinea. Over the past year, we have been helping support and care for my mom who has a cancerous brain tumor and paralysis.

The last MRI on my mother’s brain tumor was on January 23rd, and we were amazed to see a change for the better! PTL! All previous MRIs over the past year were consistent with tumor growth. But the last MRI showed that the tumor had ceased growth and the swelling in the brain significantly decreased resulting in the midline shift moving back closer to normal! Mom’s headaches and nausea have improved substantially in comparison with July of 2022. We are so thankful and blessed for this!

We have been on a leave of absence with Wycliffe since June 2022 so we could support and care for mom during this time. As time has gone, we have realized that the support and care for mom may be needed for a longer period. So that has brought us to a decision point of continuing the leave of absence with Wycliffe or resigning. After much prayer and seeking counsel from Wycliffe and others, we have decided that it is best to resign from Wycliffe for the time being and come back to serve with Wycliffe & JAARS in Papua New Guinea when God opens that door again. This has been a difficult decision for us but the good Father has been faithful. We realize that God’s ways are higher than our ways and we want to daily open our hands and be completely surrendered to Him. In God’s timing, we do hope to come back to Wycliffe & JAARS to serve in Papua New Guinea.

We are blessed to have your prayers and interest in our lives! We will continue to send newsletters on a regular basis.
